Dr. Sylvia Choy, OD is an optometrist known for delivering precise, compassionate eye care with a concierge level of attention. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry, following undergraduate training in Classical Piano Performance at Binghamton University, where she served as the pianist for the university orchestra.

Her clinical training includes ocular disease management at the VA Medical Center in New Haven, Connecticut, and low-vision rehabilitation at the VA Medical Center in Northport, New York. Dr. Choy also specializes in custom vision solutions, including Ortho-K (CRT) myopia management, RGP, and scleral lenses.

Inspired by her own early experience with vision correction, Dr. Choy developed a lifelong appreciation for the profound role eyesight plays in confidence, independence, and quality of life.

As the founder of Ascending Sight Mobile Eyecare, she provides discreet, concierge-level eye care for seniors and private clients, delivering comprehensive examinations using modern portable technology in the comfort and privacy of home or community settings. Her practice is defined by clinical excellence, dignity, and personal attention.
